Teams vs Players
In badminton, “teams” on the API represent individual players or doubles pairs, not clubs. Use the/search endpoint to discover player/pair entity IDs.
BWF World Tour
Tournaments run year-round on the BWF circuit (Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, Super 300, Super 100). During tournament weeks, expect 50-100+ matches per day.Version coverage for badminton
Tournament coverage is identical on Free and paid plans. Paid plans only raise the daily request quota, so you can validate coverage on Free first.
Multi-sport events
The V2 badminton catalogue is the BWF circuit plus the Olympics only — 486 tournaments under the single
International category (id 259). It has no Asian Games entry, so /v2/badminton/today during the Games returns only the concurrent BWF events (verified 20 Sep 2026: 12 Polish International matches on V2 while V3 and V6 both carried the Asian Games team ties).
Verified working calls during Asian Games 2026:
V2’s badminton schedule populates close to match day.
/v2/badminton/schedule/{date} returned zero events for dates a day or more ahead on 20 Sep 2026, so use it for today/recent days and V3 or V6 for forward-looking multi-sport event schedules.Key Stats
