V1 vs V2 Comparison

League coverage depth

Looking for the list of competitions we carry? See Football Coverage — 6,473 competitions across 272 country and regional categories, identical on every plan (plans only change your daily request quota). That page also documents the separate amateur categories and how far the archive goes tier by tier.
Advanced metrics (shotmaps with xG/xGOT, 40+ match statistics, lineup expectedGoals / expectedAssists, top-player rankings) are available on premium-tier competitions. Verified premium leagues include:
The coverage matrix in Troubleshooting is the single source of truth for which competitions return full player and advanced-metric data. Lower-tier leagues still return fixtures, scores, standings, lineups and basic statistics, but may omit xG and top-player rankings.

Important: Entity ID Discovery

Entity IDs (players, matches, teams, venues, referees) are numeric and must be discovered dynamically — never hardcode them.Discovery flow:
  1. Use /api/search?q=arsenal to find team/player IDs
  2. Use /api/live or /api/schedule/{date} to find match IDs
  3. Use /api/match/{id} to extract venue, referee, and player IDs from the response
  4. Use /api/tournaments/{id}/seasons to discover valid season IDs

Example responses and Postman collection

Every endpoint on the Football V2 pages has a collapsible Example response recorded from a real call. To try them all at once, download the Postman collection (145 requests, pre-filled with working Bundesliga IDs), set apiKey, and run the collection. The Stats Catalogue lists every stat key.
